Why soccer is awesome

Carlos Tevez, who as of today is still a member of the West Ham United, is one of my favorite players. He is a superstar in the making and a proud member of the Argentinian National Team. He is probably going to be signing with Man U, but his West Ham fans love him... and all for 1, very memorable goal he scored this past season. The reason this video is so great is that Tevez, an Argentinian, is absolutely being engulfed by a sea of maniacal (in a good way) English soccer fans. Keep in mind, the rivalry between Argentina and England runs deeper than just soccer... although in these 2 countries, it might not get much deeper than that.

"So easy an Alexi Lalas can do it."

Alexi Lalas, president of the Los Angeles Galaxy and former US Soccer stud, was recently quoted in British newspapers as saying that MLS players are on par with English Premier League players. I applaud Lalas for this ballsy statement... I would eventually like to see MLS talent be equal with the EPL, but they are NOT there yet. He was apparently bothered by the perception that David Beckham is going into "semi-retirement" by joining the Galaxy. Beckham gets hurt all the time but still signed with the Galaxy for $250 million for 5 years... because he is going to sell tickets. Apparently people like this guy. Here is a really dope Beckham highlight video.
